Health Education — Years 1–3
In early primary education, we place particular emphasis on building fundamental habits that support children’s health and wellbeing. Health-promoting activities are naturally integrated into pupils’ daily routine and tailored to their age and developmental needs.
Physical movement plays a key role, supporting motor development, concentration and emotional regulation. Children take part in physical activities, outdoor play, active breaks and educational walks. Exercise is presented in the form of play, fostering a positive attitude towards physical activity.
Nutrition education is also an important element. Pupils learn to recognise healthy foods, understand the importance of fruit and vegetables in their daily diet, and develop regular eating habits. A balanced menu in the school dining hall supports healthy eating patterns from an early age.
The school also cares for children’s sense of safety and emotional comfort, creating a friendly environment conducive to learning, play and rest.
